• This antique Egyptian Neo-Classical cast iron candleholder tray is like a rare ‘Jewel of the Desert’.
• An ancient-Cleopatra-style dish that sports inlaid caravan jade & countless rose-cut gemstones.
• It is made of HEAVYWEIGHT solid cast metal (Iron & Bronze).
• The intricacy of its gemstone embellishment is so stunning.
• It would have been used as a desert jewelry holder, dish, tray or candleholder.
• It is a classic representation of Neo-Egyptian Desert art history on display.
• Believed to be made between 1900-1920’s but could be earlier since its design elements are very classic of the period 1850-1900.
• Handmade intricately and exquisitely.
